Here at Docking Drawer, we’re committed to creating innovative electrical products that truly help, while maintaining the highest levels of safety at all times. Smart. Simple. Safe. It’s how we started, and it’s how we will always be.

SMART.

Docking Drawer is proud to be the market leader of in-drawer electrical outlets for charging and powering your electrical devices. But we didn’t get here by chance. We work tirelessly to put out the highest quality electrical products, ones that can really make a difference in your household.

When Scott Dickey founded the company, he hadn’t set out to create a new product. His wife asked him to add in-drawer outlets while doing a remodel in their home. Scott quickly realized there were no quality, safe options on the market, so, being an electrical mechanical engineer himself, he decided to create his own.

The in-drawer outlets were a huge hit in his home, really helping to keep the counters clear from all of the charging cell phones, laptops, fitness trackers, iPads and other electrical devices. From his research, Scott knew that others had attempted workarounds to put electrical outlets into drawers and cabinets, but that these workarounds were not as safe or efficient as what he had created. And so he decided to start Docking Drawer, and bring his new product to market.

SIMPLE.

One of the key features of our Docking Drawer in-drawer electrical outlets is that they are simple: meaning they are both easy to install and effortless to use. Our outlets are designed to fit into any standard cabinet spaces, allowing them to be incorporated in just about any project you can dream up. This also allows installation to occur at the beginning, middle or end of the project.

We offer a variety of different charging and powering outlets to fit your exact needs. You can choose to have a combination of AC outlets and USB ports, or just all USB ports if that’s what you prefer!

Our team is always working to innovate our products even further. Most recently we released the Blade and Blade Duo charging outlets that have a one-size-fits-all approach. This makes specification a breeze.

Plus, we are continuously coming up with pro-tips and clear installation guides to help you install our products into any variety of custom cabinet work you’re doing. We’ve got tips for doing narrow drawer installation, ways to create more space behind the drawer box, and step-by-step instructions for how to install our outlets into a Rev-A-Shelf vertical pullout cabinet. You can also check out the Idea Library on our website for some fantastic ideas to inspire your next project.

SAFE.

Safety is at the forefront of everything that we do at Docking Drawer. Each of our outlets is equipped with features to ensure continuous safe operation.

The charging outlets, which have a max current of 3 amps, have built-in interlocking circuit breakers to prevent more high-powered devices, like hair dryers, from being used accidentally.

The powering outlets have a max current of 20 amps, and have a UL Listed thermostat that cuts power to the outlet in the event that the surrounding temperature exceeds 120℉.

Our products undergo rigorous testing, both by us, and by Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs), which are independent laboratories recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). While a standard testing cycle is 25,000, at Docking Drawer, we cycle test 500,000 times, which represents the drawer opening and closing every 15 minutes for 30 years. All of our US products are ETL Listed, our Australian and New Zealand products are RCM Approved, and our European products are CE Approved. In addition, our products comply with all building codes.

We are dedicated to safety, always have been and always will be.
